I have had the privilege of calling the Kootenays my home for over 20 years where I live with my beloved husband. We have a beautiful horse and a dog. I love the nourishing mountains and clean waters of the Columbia Basin where i live and I acknowledge this area as the un-ceded home territory of the xaʔxáʔ tumxʷulaʔxʷ (Sinixt people).
Initially I grew up in Montreal, Quebec. I owe much to my parents and family, especially their gifts of resilience, courage, deep love and humor. I have a deep passion for my work and recognize the therapeutic relationship as crucial for successful therapy outcomes. I aspire to meet you in the sacred place of possibility.
I have a background in hospitality, social work and for the past 15 years, have worked as a counselor. I have a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology, a Bachelors in Social Work and am a Registered Social Worker (# 10120) in good standing with the BC College of Social Workers and a Member of the BC Association of Social Workers.
I understand health as a dynamic process that involves balancing the spiritual, emotional, physical and psychological. I am fluent in both French and English and am currently improving my conversational Spanish. Overall, my practice is inspired by Positive Psychology, the natural world. I much value balancing work, rest and play. I am an avid equestrian, rock climber and love to travel, cook, sing, paint and for the last several years, have been apprenticing with Indigenous Medicine elders who are generously sharing their traditional practices to heal body, mind and spirit.
